Before you step into the boat, you should know where we’re heading.

What if going to church was more like heading out into open waters with Jesus and less like attending a Sunday morning production? What if there really is a transforming dynamic to being a Christian? What if we’re really meant to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world?

Christ our Redeemer is a young church in the heart of the Roanoke Valley. We believe that the words of Jesus, “Come, follow Me(Mtt. 4:19) are still the central and primary call on our lives. Our purpose is to respond to this call of Jesus and learn together how to be the hands and feet of Jesus right here, right now. That’s where this boat is headed - it’s not going to remain tied up safely at the dock. Repent and believe the good news!” These are the first words out of Jesus’ mouth (Mk. 1:15). These words are His invitation to step off the dock and climb into the boat. So, come aboard! Join us as we set off!

We are meeting at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 1701 Memorial Ave. - which is just around the corner from the Grandin Theater. Come join us as we worship the Living God on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. Childcare is provided for younger children.
